Ethics policy

Mendriso is an independent publication supported by its readers. The following describes how editorial decisions are made and where potential conflicts of interest exist.

Independence

Analysis follows the evidence. Not the source. Not the relationship. Not the anticipated reaction.

Advertising, where it exists, is clearly labelled and has no influence on editorial decisions. No company pays to be covered. No company pays to not be covered.

If a company I write about becomes a sponsor, I will disclose it in every article that mentions them. If so, sponsors will have no editorial control over what is written. If I get something wrong, I will correct it publicly and explain what changed.

Travel and Expenses

When travel or conference attendance is sponsored or subsidized by a company or organization, this is disclosed in the relevant piece. In the absence of disclosure, costs are paid by Mendriso.

Conflicts of interest

I do not hold financial instruments — including individual equities, options, or crypto assets — in companies or assets I analyse. Where an exception exists at the time of writing, it is disclosed in the relevant piece. Diversified index funds are excluded from this disclosure. If that changes, I will disclose it before publication.

Mendriso does not use affiliate links or referral programmes. Where that changes, it will be disclosed.

Sources

I rely on primary sources: regulatory documents, official filings, government publications. Where I draw conclusions that go beyond what the documents state, I say so explicitly. Inference is marked as inference.

When sources share information on the condition of anonymity and in the public interest, their identity is protected.

Corrections

When Mendriso makes a factual error, it is corrected promptly. Corrections are disclosed to readers with a note in the affected piece.
